A few months ago, I was on YouTube.

I was watching random videos when I stumbled across something called acrylic pouring.

Curious, I clicked in that video. Then another. Then another. Then another. Before I knew it, I was hooked.

I could not stop watching these videos. I was addicted.

Before I knew what I was doing, I was in the craft store. A pack of canvas in one arm. A basket of paint in the other.

My first few attempts were not pretty. They were messy. I was frustrated. I cried. I wanted to give up. But I wanted to make something cool.

So I kept at it.

A month later, I was able to produce several small pieces.

They were not pretty. They were not perfect. But I felt good about them.

So, I attempted some more.

Messy. But getting somewhere.

Where that was?

I didn’t know.

I started to fiddle around with other techniques. Other mixtures.

Before I knew it, I was actually getting somewhere. I felt a sense of pride. I was finishing projects.

Sure, I have tons of canvases all over the place.

Sure, there’s a giant paint tarp in the office.

Sure, I struggle. Struggled.

But it’s been fun.

So very fun.

I encourage everyone to explore their creative side. You may be surprised as to what you find.
